feelin’ plucky

When I heard about The Plucky Knitter yarns and their enthusiastic fan base, I knew I’d have to check it out for myself. Custom bases in hand-dyed colors from a barn in Michigan? How is this not my job yet? I have purchased a smattering of skeins in different bases (there is definitely a colorwork sweater in primo sport to happen soon!), and I have to say I am most excited about their woolen-spun merino/cashmere blend fingering/sport weight, Oxford.

So excited, in fact, that I am in the process of knitting my first project, a sweater, out of Plucky yarn. It is deliciously rustic without feeling scratchy, which I understand might not really make sense. The color I am using is called Kelly Kelly Kelly, and it is so saturated I assure you that all three names are warranted. Here’s my sink after a swatch soak to prove it!
