mitered.

I just finished my first knitting project using mitered squares, for our pup Boba. She’s got a really broad chest and a long (very fluffy) neck but she is otherwise pretty thin so it has always been hard to find a good fit for her even though she always wants to wear sweaters. Enter Diamonds for Dogs. This type of construction seems to improve fit, and it was fun to see the progress. For an ombre, two color effect, I used yarn I received from a Dream in Color Tulips cardigan kit I won from an Eat.Sleep.Knit. lotto ticket, along with some leftover lace (held triple) and  Spud & Chloe Sweater in chocolate milk (also from Eat.Sleep.Knit. — they really are the best). I used a rust-colored magic marker to make the color change a little more gradual. The result is a very cozy and sturdy pullover for our intrepid little snowlover, and I couldn’t have timed its completion more perfectly.
